Cuddle Barn Fever Frog – “Fever”

I gotta say, he’s singing pretty well for a sick frog.

I got this from Amazon around Christmas time last year for like $30 brand new. The listing showed a picture of the Mills version, which is really the only reason I bought it. This is obviously the Cuddle Barn version, and I really should have known better. I wanted the Mills version because I had it as a kid, after I got it from some catalog when they came out. It was one of my favorites for a long time, I took it everywhere with me. Over time, he lost his ice pack and thermometer, and eventually the gear split in the mouth and the head snapped. I had no idea how to fix things back then, but I tried fixing it anyway and that’s where the story ends lol. There’s a couple differences between this and the one from Mills, the main one being the button style. The Mills one also uses slightly different materials from what I remember, and it has a flap that covers the battery compartment while the Cuddle Barn version does not. Actually, I think the whole battery compartment was different on my Mills version, as well as the thermometer. Mills also had the hands sewn to the stomach, while Cuddle Barn just left them hanging loose. This bothers me for some reason, so I hooked mine’s hands to the stomach with tiny pins (I didn’t want to risk putting holes in the fabric). I’m very happy to have one of these again, but I’m still keeping an eye out for another Mills version. Until then, that’s all I have to say. Thanks for checking out the video! Hope your enjoyed! 1. I had the version made by Tekky Toys, which I'm fairly sure is the company that established this item's concept from the start. BTW, good luck finding the Mills version.

  2. Nice to see you have this agin even if it’s not the exact version you grew up with. I don’t think I would’ve been able to tell the difference if it wasn’t for the description.
